This is the most photographed scene in Antigua Guatemala. Behind the clouds looms Volcan Agua, which destroyed the city in 1773.

This image of Volcan de Agua and the Santa Catalina convent arch is the defining image of Antigua, Guatemala for me. The photo was taken at about 6:30am on the morning after a horrible, grey, rainy day. By 7am, the clouds had obscured the volcano again.
